Cosmetic surgery is a discipline of medicine focused on enhancing the appearance through surgical and medical techniques. Cosmetic surgery can be performed on all areas of the head, neck and body.

A person is considered a good candidate for cosmetic surgery if he or she is healthy and fit,  emotionally, physically and mentally to undergo the procedure while being fully aware of the associated risks/likely complications of the procedure involved. Those who have serious health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, a bleeding disorder, heart disease, or depression are usually not considered to be ideal candidates for cosmetic procedures.
